 China Trip, 2006

Fresh dates!   Dragon Fruit   A path surrounded by bamboo.

The dam at Lao Shan Mountain   Japanese guy with a Chinese tour guide that we shared a taxi with, starting up the mountain.   Ready to tackle an extra steep set of stairs on the mountain.   Looking back where we started from.

On my flight to China, I stopped for a layover in Seoul, Korea and got this video of someone making Kkultarae (47 seconds, 12MB WMV), a Korean traditional court cake composed of 16,384 (214) strands of malted honey and corn starch wrapped around a ground sesame and nut filling. You can see in the video how they get those strands.
