The container of cardamom was right there in front of me when I was thinking about what to marinate my steak in... so I used it...
Mix the Worcestershire, soy sauce and brown sugar. Microwave for 20-30 seconds to help the sugar dissolve.
Trim the beef, then pierce it on both sides with a fork. Rub the steak with the pepper and cardamom.
Place the steak into a zip top bag and pour in the marinade. Squeeze out as much air as possible then seal and massage to distribute the marinade. Place in refrigerator for 2-12 hours.
Cook under the broiler or on your grill to medium rare or medium, then cut on the bias, against the grain and serve. |
